Officer Elections
– The BRAGTS Board voted in August to conduct Officer Elections after the Fall
Open Meeting (Held October 14, 2008).
Members present voted officers as follows:

Website
·
Holly has been adding the BRAGTS and EBRPSS G/T reports to the website – website
is progressing well.
·
Near Term: Holly Hart will
transition with Richard Truman to keep the current website up to date.
·
Longer Term: Holly will lead effort
to evaluate options including rebuilding website from scratch on a different
service provider. All recognize
what a significant undertaking this would be, thus the need to study our
options.
Future BRAGTS Meetings
·
The Board voted to conduct future meetings at 7 PM on the second Tuesday of each
month – meetings had previously been held on Mondays but the Board decided to
make the change as Tuesdays were a better fit for everyone’s schedules.
BRAGTS Agenda
- The group spent time “brainstorming” ideas and goals for BRAGTS including the
following:

Public awareness of EBRPSS G/T and BRAGTS continues to be a concern.
·
Recruitment of parents to be involved with BRAGTS and the G/T programs will help
the G/T programs to grow.
·
Involvement of School personnel (teachers, coordinators, principals, staff) is
important.
·
To this end, a program for an open meeting (tentatively at the end of January,
2009) will be developed.
·
Interest in inviting teachers, students, administrators, etc. to speak at open
meetings and at BRAGTS board meetings.
·
BRAGTS needs to conduct another survey of members for issues of concern and
priorities.
·
The BRAGTS brochure will be updated and a new printing made.
EBRPSS Superintendent Search
The EBRPSS invited BRAGTS to meet with the consultant developing the profile for
the next EBRPSS superintendent, Time and date to be determined – either Monday
or Tuesday of next week. Also,
BRAGTS will e-mail superintendent search information from the EBRPSS to our
membership (action: Donald
Jennings).
