TOY 2009

Information

Please nominate as many different teachers as you like. However, each Teacher must be nominated in a separate e-mail and should only be nominated once by each student or parent.

Final selection of the BRAGTS 2010 Teacher of the Year will be made by the BRAGTS Board based on both the quantity and quality of the nominations received. The decision of the Board is final.

All nominations must be received by e-mail at the address listed to the right. Please include in your e-mail your school's name or the school name of the teacher you are nominating.

The BRAGTS Teacher of the Year Award relies on student and parent nominations to select and honor our hardworking gifted and talented teachers.

2010 Teachers of the Year

Every year BRAGTS is pleased to sponsor the Teacher of the Year (TOY) award. Nominations from students and parents were accepted via email and the winners were announced at the Spring Showcase on April 29th. This year we had so many exceptional candidates that we initiated an 'Honorable Mention' for each category and instituted a 'Talented Teacher of the Year' award. This year's winners were:

Elementary TOY: Jamie Rabalais, Brookstown

Elementary Honorable Mention: Lindsay Hales, Brownfields

Middle School TOY: Josetta LeBoeuf, Glasgow

Middle School HM: Alexander Dobbyn, Glasgow

High School TOY: Faradj Mabrouck, McKinley High

High School HM: Zachary DeRouen, Woodlawn High

Talented TOY: Robert White, McKinley High

Talented HM: Geeta Dave, Glasgow

We are so pleased to have so many quality teachers for our students and would like to express our thanks, not only to this year's winners, but to all the Gifted and Talented Teachers who serve our children every day.
