What are the characteristics of a Talented child ?

Talented children may exhibit the following characteristics
 

Exceptional ability in art, music, and or theater. 

Intense appreciation of art, music and or theater.

Sensitivity; intuitiveness; responsive emotionally to people, events, and art forms.

Highly creative thinking and vivid imagination.

Ability to demonstrate feelings and emotions through arts.

Ability to view and express things through unusual perspectives.

Self motivated with intense powers of concentration.  Driven to work on a task until it is completed.

Total absorption and enjoyment in artistic performance.
 
Capability of working productively alone or in small groups. with a minimum of guidance from the teacher.

Very perceptive of the feelings and talents of others.

Highly critical of his/her own work but can learn to accept his/her strengths and weaknesses as an artist.

Ability to think of his/her feet and improvise with common place materials.

Energetic and impulsive may become "turned off" if not given the time and freedom to express himself/herself.

Sets high and sometimes unrealistic standards for himself/herself, and with those with whom he/she comes in close contact.
